Daughter to Tully Dickey Helfer and Carolyn Ione Van Patten. Youngest of five children. Sister to William Van Patten Helfer. Born in Burbank, California and grew up in “The Valley.” Original Valley Girl. Family known for training animals in “Beverly Hillbillies”, “Petticoat Junction”, “Green Acres”, and numerous other TV shows and movies. Dian grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, pigeons, rabbits, and chickens. Dian lives in a rural suburb with her husband Jai Singh and their two goats, nine koi fish, and two dogs. Dian has two daughters: Tamara Love Haser (married to Todd Haser) and Samantha Love Street-Margiotta (married to Michael Margiotta). She also has five grandchildren: Kayla Christy, Logan Haser, Krystin Christy, River Rain Diann Margiotta, and Micah Christopher Street Margiotta. Dian is also an Ordained Minister and has two Ph.D.’s, an M.S. in Psychology, and a Bachelors Degree in Behav. Science. She is a published writer and has three books which will be published soon. Dian studied and worked on a Masters in Oriental Medicine. She is also a writer, director, producer, casting director, talent agent, paralegal, licensed massage therapist, Realtor, Reiki healer, Tarot card reader, and certified interior decorator. She is related to the Dick Van Patten family and the Helfer family. Dian’s interior decorating designs won her recognition on five Times Square billboards.
